A Norwegian uploaded a YouTube clip of himself performing spectacular trick shots, and that video has been viewed over half a million times. The video also helped the man get a tryout for the NFL's New York Jets.
According to New York Post, Havard Rugland's video caught the attention of professional teams in the United States.
According to Bleacher Report, Rugland said that the tryout went well. He said that the Jets tested him on field goals and kickoffs. He went onto say that regardless of the pressure that he felt, he was able to stay calm.
Michael Husted, a kicking coach who is working with Rugland, said that Rugland, 27, has what it takes to be more than an online gimmick. Husted said that Rugland is a very talented kicker and as he refines his technique, he could end up being one of the strongest kickers in the NFL.
According to Opposing Views, the video shows Rugland performing numerous trick shots, and the video has been up for about three months now.
As of now the Jets have not announced whether or not they will sign Rugland.
