New York - Amanda Reyes, a 26-year-old a single mother, filed a lawsuit against her former employer, Steven Reis, 60. Reis, married with a young daughter, owns Fantastic Kids Toys in the Upper East Side of New York City on Third Avenue and 84th street.
Amanda began working at Fantastic Kids Toys in 2010.
Steven Reis promoted Amanda Reyes from her $10 an hour store clerk position to store manager around March. The store manager position paid $60,000 and Reis wanted more from Reyes than just a store manager. According to the lawsuit and reported by the Toronto Sun newspaper, the manager turned Reyes into his personal Fifty Shades of Grey sex-slave in March. Reis also allegedly paid her rent and other expenses.
The complaint, filed Friday Dec. 21, stated that Reyes was “forced” to engage in “increasing acts of rough sexual activities, including hitting, slapping, and biting.” According to the New York Daily News, when Amanda tried to get out of the “regular rough-sex sessions with him” she was fired. Amanda Reyes began dating a New York police officer in June and states in her report that when she told Steven Reis that she no longer wanted to meet him twice a week for those sexual encounters he fired her.
Attorney for Amanda Reyes, Walker Harman, told the New York Daily News that the sex acts would take place at her apartment, no other meeting place was mentioned. It was a “master-servant type relationship” similar to that of Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey. She lost her job on Aug. 29 after breaking off the relationship. Harman states that she was a single mother who had been manipulated and taken advantage of.
Marisel Rojas, Amanda’s mother, told the New York Daily News that she remembered her daughter dating her boss but Marisel said she never met him. Rojas, who is not in close contact with her daughter told New York Daily News “I know they were seeing each other and she was working there for a while. They were getting along fine to my knowledge.”
Reis declined comment when the New York Daily News found him at Fantastic Kids Toys working on Christmas Eve.
