The latest promotional trailer for the upcoming 3D cel-shaded fighting game called "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle" has been made available for viewing. This video shows the newly added cast of playable characters.
At the event called Jump Festa in Japan, many video game companies unveiled the latest trailers and promotional videos for their upcoming video game titles. CyberConnect2, one of the companies at the event, unveiled the latest trailer for its upcoming game called “Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle.” In this special Jump Festa trailer, additions to the cast of playable characters are introduced. With the game being adapted from its manga counterpart, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure features characters from all seven parts of the manga series.
So far, it seems that most of the characters are from parts III to IV. This is due to the characters utilizing psychic powers known as “Stands” which is a personification of themselves which is a very important theme for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure from part III until now. From the looks of the trailer, it seems the game is keeping true to the anime and manga counterparts.
For those that do not know, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an action-based story that originates from the late 19th century up until the 21st century as it follows the “JoJo” bloodline as characters first and last names have “Jo” in them such as Johnathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, and Jolyne Kujo. In the story itself which is reflected in the manga, anime, and games, there are references to religious and popular culture. For example, there is a villain called “Vanilla Ice” in the story. When made for American audiences, Vanilla Ice was changed to “Ice'd.”
Currently, there is a “Jojo's Bizarre Adventure” anime that is being aired in Japan.
Also, this game is the second Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fighting game. The first one was developed and published by Capcom back in the late-90s. It was one of the many 2D fighting games created by Capcom.
This game is due to be released sometime in Japan around 2013 for the Playstation 3. It is developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai. Also, there's a trailer that was previously released that showed other playable characters.
