A former US track star who competed in three Olympic Games revealed that she has been living a double life for the past year as a $600-an-hour-hooker.
Suzy Favor Hamilton, 44, who is also married, has also worked with Nike and Disney, according to New York Post.
Hamilton used to be a high-priced hooker who once turned high-priced tricks in hotel rooms located in Las Vegas as well as other places around the country. She said that the lifestyle was exciting but she said that as a mother and a wife, she did wrong.
According to LA Times, Hamilton Tweeted on Thursday that she did not expect people to understand why she did it. She did say that at the time her reasons for doing it made sense and the reasons were related to depression.
Hamilton said that she was sorry if she hurt anybody and that she appreciates the support that her family and friends have shown her. She went onto say that she will make amends and that she will get back to being a good mother, friend, daughter and wife.
According to Boston Herald, Hamilton was known as "Kelly" on the escort service's website. She says that she suspects that a client revealed who she was.
The escort service's website advertised Hamilton in a variety of revealing photos with her back to the camera, or blurring out her face.
Hamilton said that her husband knew that she was an escort and he tried to get her to stop. She said that she was not a victim and she knew exactly what she was doing.
