As the first day of winter arrived, temperatures in Northern Virginia have been on the decline and are now more seasonal than they have been the last few weeks where some days were
quite warm.
Northern Virginia temperatures are expected to continue to dip, and a high wind advisory is on for Saturday, but it appears the snow
heavily impacting the Mid-West and the inner Mid-Atlantic will bypass the Washington region.
Although, local weather reports indicate a "Light Wintry Mix" may arrive to Northern Virginia and
rain to the nation's capitol on Wednesday.
The high winds blowing through many states have resulted in many flight delays
interrupting holiday travel.
