Newtown

There is an old saying that says "a picture can say a thousand words", and as many around the world struggle to find the words to express their emotions and sympathies for the families of those killed in Newtown, images are sometimes all they have.
According to a
CBS report, people from Brazil, all parts of Asia, through the Middle East and down to Australia have been shocked by the tragedy. Many of those same people have showed their love and support and offered condolences to those affected by the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Queen Elizabeth II the
said:
“The thoughts and prayers of everyone in the United Kingdom and throughout the Commonwealth are with the families and friends of those killed and with all those who have been affected by today’s events.”
President Obama thanks foreign diplomats for their support,
saying:
"The entire world stands with us."
Those who cannot find the words, find other ways to show their respects. Here is just a sampling of images from the United States and around the world of ways people are remembering those lost in Friday's horrific shooting.
