The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik has filed for divorce from her husband Michael Stone and is seeking joint custody of their two sons.

PEOPLE Magazine reports The Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik has filed for divorce from her husband Michael Stone and is seeking joint custody of their two sons, Miles, 7 and Fred, 4. TMZ reports "irreconcilable differences" as the reason cited for the divorce. The divorce papers were filed November 21, the same day Bialik announced the split.

Huffington Post says Bialik's controversial parenting style was not to blame for the separation. Bialik is a vocal advocate of attachment parenting — which involves co-sleeping, carrying babies in slings frequently and prolonged breastfeeding. The actress even penned a book on the subject, titled Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way. "The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose," Bialik blogged recently.
