Perth - It's hard to find anyone who doesn't enjoy a well choreographed Christmas light show, and when you add Psy and his Gangnam Style mega-hit to the mix, the result is a phenomenal display of light and music.
Perth, Australia entrepreneur Kym Illman has a passion for music and video production. He also seems to have quite a talent for creating incredible Christmas light shows.
For the past two years, Illman has created a synchronized Christmas light show at his home. The shows have not only entertained residents, they have also raised money for community projects. Last years light show raised more than $90,000.
This year, Illman decided to combine the Christmas light show with Psy's mega-hit song, "Gangnan Style", entering it into the World's Best Christmas Lights contestant. After more than 200 hours of work, 41,000 light bulbs, 2,000 light channels, and 2kms of cable, the show was ready for it's debut. The spectacular display amazed visitors and word of Illman's Christmas light spectacular began to spread. The light show became so popular, it had to be shut down because of growing crowds and safety concerns.
The residents of Perth would undoubtably prefer to see the light show live, but at least Illman was able to capture it on video before being forced to take it down. So sit back, turn up the speakers and enjoy.
