Longmont - A woman called 911 to report a shooting and was apparently shot to death while she was on the phone. When police arrived to the scene in Longmont, Colorado, four were found dead.
The Denver Post is reporting that around 4 a.m. Tuesday a female caller got on the phone with 911 to report a shooting.
"The disptacher hears her scream, 'No, no, no.' Then the dispatcher hears gunshots," Weld County Sherriff"s Office spokesman Tim Schwartz said at a press conference."
At that point, a man grabbed the phone and said "he's going to kill himself," Schwartz said. The dispatcher then heard another gunshot, MSN reports.
The dead included two men and two women, including one who appeared to be in her late teens or early 20s.
It is unknown at this time whether the deceased persons lived at the home in a subdivision east of Longmont, which is about 35 miles north of Denver, CBS writes.
Still shaken by the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Leslie McGill, who lives near the home at Hot Springs and Big Bend streets, told the Post that she's worried about how her son will take the news.
"The big thing is I don't know how I'm going to tell my son about this after the school shootings and now the shooting here," she said.
Schwartz says investigators have a possible motive for the shootings, but he refused to release details.
