The latest video released for the 2013 reboot of "Tomb Raider" is a "survival guide" of what it takes to progress through the game and the story.
The newest video has been released for the upcoming game called “Tomb Raider.” It is the latest installment of the popular action-adventure series known as Tomb Raider. Also, this game is not a sequel; this game will be a complete reboot of the series. In the storyline of the game, Lara Croft is a young adult who is shipwrecked somewhere off the coast of Japan in the Dragon's Triangle. From there, Lara slowly finds and builds herself as the famous international archaeologist. Unlike the other games in which Lara is a hardened archaeologist with her fair share in experiencing danger, this version of Lara comes off as naïve but still intelligent.
In this video, called “Guide to Survival Episode 1,” players get to know the important game play elements in the game. In this game, it's a reboot of Lara's origin. For this game, it's more about survival than going on an adventure. This video highlights the “base camp system” which is an important dynamic in the game. It is also the foundation of the game play experience as you use this customize your character. To progress through the game, you will need to constantly upgrade Lara's skills. You will have to do a lot of things such as exploring and engaging in successful combat to earn those special points needed to upgrade your skills throughout the game.
Also, the video shows the importance of progressing through the game and the story by upgrading your weapons and gear. If you do not, you won't be able to go further into the game. To upgrade your gear, you'll have to salvage for materials and other important stuff.
Like previous Tomb Raider games, puzzles will play an important role in the game play. These are examples of what players will have to do in order to progress through this reboot of Tomb Raider. From the looks of the video, this game can last players a lot of hours per day. The game is due to be released in early March of 2013.
