Sources say that when Hayden Carlo, 25, was pulled over for an expired registration sticker, Carlo told the cop that he did not have an explanation for why he did not get the sticker renewed, except that he did not have the money.
According to Huffington Post, Carlo said that he told the cop that it was either get the registration done or feed his kids. That was when the Plano officer wrote a ticket.
According to PoliceOne, the officer handed Carlo a traffic ticket envelope, which contained a hundred-dollar bill.
Carlo said that he was able to update his registration as well as his wife's registration, and is now able to drive back and forth to a new job legally.
Carlo said the officer, who wanted to remain anonymous, helped him out when he needed it.
