During a ten-week production period, 20 documentary filmmakers of all walks of life will compete to win financing ($200,000) and worldwide distribution for their feature documentary films.
Casting applications are being accepted until Jan. 31, 2013. Those applying will be expected “to not only prove the validity of their idea for a documentary but also their film-making abilities,” the series website
says. "They will either survive or be eliminated based on that criteria."
Joel Cheatwood, President and Chief Creative Officer for TheBlaze, added: “The documentary film, particularly those that seek the truth with no agenda, is an important art form that is struggling to survive in this media environment.”
The nine episode series debuts on Beck’s TheBlaze TV in late Spring 2013, glennbeck.com says.
