Yesterday crowds came out and lined the streets to see the Christmas and Holiday Parade in Leesburg, Virginia. This parade is an annual tradition that celebrates the festive season.
On the morning of Sat., Dec. 8, crowds lined up early along the streets of Leesburg's historic district anticipating the town's Annual Christmas and Holiday Parade.
The parade follows the town's annual Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting Ceremony that
took place on Friday night and featured a musical evening which included school performances and a holiday sing-a-long. Additionally, a message was given by Leesburg Mayor Kristen Umstattd.
The parade kicked off at 10 a.m. and lasted just under an hour as many families stood along the sides of historic King Street. Participants in this year's parade
included many businesses, civic groups, organizations, teams and other community groups.
