In yet another case of horrific violence inflicted on Afghan women and girls by Afghan men, 15-year-old Geesa Rahim was brutally murdered by two spurned suitors. The men were both related to the teenager and lived in the same village.
The
Telegraph reported two men, named as Massoud and Sadeq, were arrested following the killing. They slit the throat of the young girl as she carried water back to her village in the northern Kunduz province. Police spokesman Syed Sarwar Hosseini said: "At this stage it looks like they wanted to marry her and the father refused, so they killed her."
He went on to say "The two men attacked her and slit her throat with a knife. They were arrested and are in police custody." (
