article imagePat Robertson denies the earth is 6000 years old

By Sami Zaatari     Nov 28, 2012 in World
Popular televangelist Pat Robertson has recently come out stating that the Earth is not 6,000 years old, and that dinosaurs were living before the time of the Bible.
Robertson claimed that science proves these facts, and Christians shouldn't "cover it up". According to Robertson:
Look, I know that people will probably try to lynch me when I say this, but Bishop [James] Ussher wasn’t inspired by the Lord when he said that it all took 6,000 years, It just didn’t. You go back in time, you’ve got radiocarbon dating. You got all these things and you’ve got the caucuses of dinosaurs frozen in time out in the Dakotas.
Robertson's views will put him in stark contrast to many of his creationist fans, who believe the earth is six to ten thousand years old, and that dinosaurs lived and walked with man.
Creationism in America is still a widely held belief, according to a recent Gallup Poll, 46% of Americans believe that the earth was created within the last 10,000 years.
