Boy Meets World fans learned Monday that one of their favorite childhood shows will be returning to the television screen as a sequel.
TVLine was the first to break the news that original cast members Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will star in the new series, currently titled "Girl Meets World."
The storyline picks up nearly one decade after the "Boy Meets World" series finale. Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, as we knew their characters, will play a happily-married couple raising a 13-year old daughter named Riley, and news of the sequel flew across social media platforms like wildfire.
Here are the ten best tweets I found, ones that really made me say, "I know that feel."
UPDATE: Rider Strong, who played Shawn Hunter in the series, replied to the news on his website, explaining that he has "no official involvement" with the sequel but hopes a guest spot is a possibility.
"I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years," he said. "And I, for one, can’t wait to see it evolve."
Strong also included a photograph of the original Boy Meets World cast during their final taping.
