a barrage of at least 16 rockets were fired on the southern city Beersheva
. At least nine were intercepted by the iron dome defense devices, but others directly hit apartment blocks and vehicles. A bus was damaged by flying shrapnel. One person was lightly injured.

Channel 10, 9am news reports that rocket attacks continue - red alerts are announced across the southern cities and air-raid sirens continue to sound throughout the south and in response to the continued rocket attacks on Israeli civilians, the IAF continues to attack the Gaza strip.
