With many console games being wired to the Internet, game developers have the opportunity to deliver downloadable content (DLC) to the masses. It cuts out having to spend money on CDs and other mediums of data storage. For the gamer, depending on the type and quality of the DLC, it adds even more replay value to the game. The game called “Sleeping Dogs
” is by no means an exception. Even that game is capitalizing on the popularity of DLC.
Back on October 30, one day before Halloween, Sleeping Dogs released its first story-driven DLC called “Nightmare in Northpoint.” Instead of dealing with zombies, like other notable games such as “Call of Duty” and “Red Dead Redemption,” Sleeping Dogs puts the protagonist against vampires; but, they are not the vampires you see in your vampire movies. You would be dealing with Chinese vampires called the “Jiang Sh
i.” Unlike the vampires in Western lore, the Jiang Shi aren't out for your blood, they're out for your “Qi” or life essence.
Now, a new DLC is available called the “Dragon Master Pack
.” This Dragon Master pack has the pre-order bonuses and DLC add-ons, minus the the Nightmare in Northpoint story expansion. If you own a copy of Sleeping Dogs, this pack is currently available. Get all those DLC add-ons and pre-order bonuses in one DLC.
