the luxury item was designed by the London company Gold & Co
. Befitting a collector's piece only 250 gold iPads will be made available. As yet the price of the iPad has not been revealed.
An official from the Collectors Palace said
: "One unit will be displayed at Dubai Mall and pre-orders will start soon after the launch tomorrow night.”
In addition to Dubai the luxury gold-dipped iPad will be sold in other rich locations, including Moscow, Hong Kong, Qatar, and the U.K. The company has also launched a limited edition of solid gold mini iPads.
Dubai has a reputation for attracting exclusive luxury items. Earlier this year the world's most expensive cupcake
, priced at over $1,000, went on sale in Dubai. The cupcake was decorated with edible 23 carat gold sheet.
