Watch drunk Texas A&M fan start fight in New Orleans airport

New Orleans - A drunk Texas A&M football fan started a fight at New Orleans airport after he was stopped from boarding a flight. The incident occurred on November 11. The video was posted to YouTube by a Reddit user who witnessed the fight and gives an account.

The video shows the drunk Aggies fan provoking a fight with an African-American. Reddit user westtexan1 was waiting for a Southwest flight from New Orleans to Houston when the incident happened. The Aggies fan wearing a Texas A&M "Johnny Football" T-shirt (quarterback Johnny Manziel led the Aggies to victory against the Alabama Crimson Tide) was not allowed to board the flight, apparently because he was drunk. Westtexan1 writes: "He got irate with the ticket counter attendant and dumped out a bag of trail mix." The African-American who was waiting at the ticket counter tried to calm him down but instead he turned his anger and frustration on the African-American. He began abusing and taunting the African-American, "dropping n-bombs and even made a comment about picking cotton." The video shows the Texas A&M fan advancing on the African-American who removes his jacket in preparation for self-defense. People at the airport can be heard shouting and a woman calling "Where is the security?" A fight started while bystanders attempted to intervene and separate them. Airport security arrived within 30 seconds. The drunken fan attempted to blame the African-American, saying he started the fight but the video clip revealed the truth and the African-American was exonerated. He was allowed to board the flight while the drunken Aggies fan was barred. The African-American was cheered as he walked down the aisle. Westtexan1 reports: "Everyone clapped for him as he was walking down the aisle, especially me because I was flying standby and ended up getting Johnny Football’s seat!"
