Each year Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) draws up a list of favourite pet names from its database of 485,000 registered animals. Does your pet dog have one of the past 'chosen' popular names or one of those most commonly picked in 2012?
According to Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI), USA's largest pet insurance provider, dog owners are avoiding traditional and trendy names such as 'Rover', 'Rufus' and 'Lady' and humanizing their pets by giving them names of people in order to help include them as family members.
So, what are the previous most popular names used for pet dogs and those predicted as favourites for 2012, based on those chosen years previously? Will Hollywood's Twilight saga still influence the top choice?
