Berkeley - New South Wales Police have informed that a one-year-old boy who was taken from Berkeley, on the state’s south coast earlier today has been located safe and well.
At 6pm today (Saturday 10 November 2012), the boy was allegedly taken by his 25-year-old father outside a restaurant at the intersection of Nolan and Kelly Streets.
About 10.15pm the man was taken into custody at Warilla.
About 11pm the child was located safe and well at a home in Koonawarra.
The man was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where police intend to speak to him further about this matter.
Police would like to thank the media and public for their assistance.
Berkeley is a suburb of Wollongong and is known for the Nan Tien Buddhist Temple.
