A new video for "Injustice: Gods Among Us" has been released. In the video, developers give a behind the scenes look of the game which is to be released in spring 2013.
Sometime in April 2013, NetherRealm Studios (developed replacing both Midway Games and WB Games Chicago) is set to release its newest fighting game called “Injustice: Gods Among Us.” This is the third fighting game to be released by NetherRealm Studios. The company is known for the popular ultra-violent fighting game franchise known as “Mortal Kombat” in which the series was given a reboot last year in 2011. Injustice: Gods Among Us has nothing to do with the Mortal Kombat universe; but, the game plays like the game without the gruesome fatalities. Instead, this game deals with popular characters from the DC Comics Universe. This is not the first time that both the makers of Mortal Kombat and DC Comics had collaborated.
While Midway was still around, the company worked with DC Comics to create a crossover game called “Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.” The game, with its storyline, brought together characters from both the Mortal Kombat and DC Comics universes. You had Scorpion fighting against Superman, Raiden fighting against Lex Luthor, Green Lantern fighting against Shang Tsung, and many more crossover matches.
The newest video is a diary from the developers and they give excited fans a behind the scenes look of what to expect when Injustice: Gods Among Us is released out to stores. According to developers, the game play will be similar to the reboot of Mortal Kombat; but, Injustice: Gods Among Us won't play like a carbon copy of the game.
Some confirmed characters for the game are: Superman, Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Green Arrow, Nightwing, and Cyborg.
