The Romney campaign had staked everything on the 2012 US Presidential Election before losing to the Obama campaign. However, there was a President-Elect Romney transition site that was already live before the final results came in.
It's been two days since the end of Election Night 2012, Democratic incumbent Barack Obama emerged victorious over GOP nominee Mitt Romney. As of Election Night 2012, Obama has been re-elected to another four years of United States President. Earlier today, the Romney campaign
conceded the state of Florida which was one of the crucial battleground states in the election. According to one adviser from the Romney campaign, they felt that they could win Florida because of the numbers; but, they admit that they didn't win. CBS News reports, according to one adviser, Romney got
taken by surprise. The adviser said that not a single person in the Romney camp could have seen this one coming.
In short, the Romney campaign had given the 2012 US Elections it all; but, they didn't win. However, this doesn't seem like it's going to leave for awhile. Recently, media outlets report on the discovery of a draft of a
transition website for Romney if he ended up winning the elections. The website was taken down; but, captured screen shots are still available for viewing on different new blogs and outlets. A video is
available for viewing on the Huffington Post. According to an NBC News
article, Romney's campaign already had the website live and running beforehand. This shows how much the Romney campaign had staked on beating Obama for the US Presidency. The link address is still there; but, the website is no longer around.
