By Matt Harding     Nov 4, 2012 in Entertainment
A Hurricane Sandy relief concert featuring Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel and Christina Aguilera drew $23 million in donations Friday.
NBC says that Friday's hour-long telethon drew $23 million in donations to the American Red Cross.
Pledges were made by phone and online while artists native to the areas hardest-hit by Sandy performed. They include New Jersey natives Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, and New York's Billy Joel.
Others who took part in the event included Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Jon Stewart and Sting.
The hurricane killed over 100 people last week in 10 states and caused destruction and widespread power outages.
