Two Verizon staffers have been arrested for allegedly stealing nude photographs from a female customer's phone and then passing the photos around.
According to The Register, The staffers worked in the Verizon store in Bartow, Florida, when a waitress entered the store and one of the men transferred her data from an old handset to a new one. However, she was not aware that one of the men allegedly copied some of the photos from the phone's memory and kept them for himself.
According to Cellular News, the whole issue came into light when a local bartender entered the store and the staff decided to share the photos of the female. The bartender ended up being a friend of the woman and he told her about the incident.
The woman called the police and they searched the personal computers of the employees, and they found copies of the stolen photos. Police say that one of the defendants even admitted that they have done this at least one other time in the past.
One of the men are now being charged with two felony accounts of stolen property and offenses against computer users, and he is facing a misdemeanor theft count. The other man is out of state and when he returns back to Florida he will face charges.
