If you have a Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) hooked up to the Playstation Network (PSN), you may want to get the
Neon Alley application that is available. It is provided that you are a fan of Japanese anime. Users with a
Neon Alley application installed onto their PSN accounts have the treat of watching the upcoming anime film called “Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I – The Egg of the King.”
The film was produced in Japan by Studio 4C. VIZ Media has
acquired the United States rights to release the trilogy. However, it is unknown whether or not VIZ Media will release the series for a theatrical release.
If you have watched the earlier anime series, read the manga, or played any of the recent games, you should already understand the storyline behind the movie. This is a reboot of the Berserk series with a combination of 2D and 3D graphics.
If you have the Neon Alley service, stay tuned on Sunday, October 28. Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I will air on Neon Alley a 8:00pm EST/5:00pm PST with a repeat showing at 12:00am EST/8:00pm PST.
Those that do not have the Neon Alley service will have to wait until it gets released to DVD, Blu-Ray Disc, Amazon Streaming, or Netflix Streaming. However, VIZ Media has yet to announce plans on future releases.
