Metropolis - Salaries slashed, budgets shrinking, expense accounts cut, typewriter banging replaced by keyboard tapping, and Clark Kent splitting the dreary scene at the Daily Planet is just one more nail in the coffin of print journalism as we now know it.
On 22/10/12 USA Today's Brian Truitt reveals that DC Comics will begin a new story arc with Superman 13 and one of the many events in the new issue is Clark Kent walking out on his job at the Daily Planet
The article features an in-depth interview with Scott Lobdell who is writing the new storyline and who has introduced a new kryptonic nemesis for the Man of Steel.
"This is really what happens when a 27 year old guy is behind a desk and he has to take instruction from a larger conglomerate with concerns that aren't really his own" explained Lobdell as he enlightened readers as to why CK scurried from the building in a Huff, so don't be surprised if you see an upcoming byline in Digital Journal by the aforementioned reporter!
