There are three books about Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy in the British Library's catalogue, and I have used all of them for my researches into the band, principally my contributions to the
SongFacts database, so I won't be reading a fourth. I was lucky enough to
see them perform at the height of their powers, and although I was and remain a fan, I'm not a fanatic, but
Thin Lizzy fanatics there are, and some of them will surely buy this, especially as the mailing from the band's number one Scandinavian fan has given it the thumbs up, which is hardly surprising, because
Peter Nielsen contributed to it.
Author Martin Popoff is an established musicologist; his many credits include a biography of the legendary
Ronnie James Dio, and this is actually the third part of a trilogy about Phil and the gang.
