Krasnodar - When a mamma hedgehog was killed, her four newly orphaned babies faced certain death as well, that is until Sonya the cat came to their rescue.
When Alexandr Ignoramus found the orphaned hedgehogs in his home town of Krasnodar, Russia, he brought them to his cat Sonya.
Sonya, who has a kitten of her own, "adopted" the four orphans according to a Buzzfeed article. She cares for the hedgehogs just as she does her own kitten, feeding, bathing and looking after them like any good mother would.
According to Life With Cats, the video was recorded in August of this year.
