article imageMan reunited with his car two years after it was lost

By Leigh Goessl     Oct 19, 2012 in Odd News
Munich - A German man who lost his car two years ago has finally been reunited with his missing vehicle. The car was discovered a few miles from the location where he thought he had parked it.
According to several media reports, the man from southern Germany had been out drinking in Dec. 2010 and when he tried to return to his car later, he couldn’t find it. After a search was conducted, the car was eventually reported as missing to the Munich police, reported The Province.
Oddly, authorities found the car recently after a traffic warden came across a car that had expired inspection tags. It was traced back to the man who had lost his car back in 2010. Huffington Post reported the car was approximately three miles (four km) from the location where he thought he had parked the vehicle.
"The weird thing is that it turned up so far away, although the owner was pretty sure of where he had left it," said police spokesman Alexander Lorenz.
NJ 101.5 noted it was probably a good thing the man got a ride home that fateful December night.
Getting his car back was not the only good news the 33-year-old craftsman received. All of his personal belongings were still in the car, which included over US$ 50,000 worth of tools.
