Sunnyvale - JMG International with collaboration with La Aurora S.A invited many of the Bay Area's respected cigar merchants for an evening with Guillermo Leon at Taverna Bistro in Sunnyvale on October 17.
This event was an opportunity for Leon to discuss about La Aurora and to meet the major cigar vendors in the Bay Area.
Guest gathered at Taverna Bistro and were greeted upon arrival by Sarah Peterson, Retail Ambassador for JMG International, who noted their dinner selection and handing the complementary cigars
The event started with Leon being introduced to gathered crowd, he took the moment to tell his family history and what he hopes would be the future of his cigars.
This was followed by Rene Castaneda discussing the verity of La Aurora cigars while announcing that the highly anticipated La Aurora Preferidos Diamond will be available during the last week of November for the holiday season.
Besides the complementary cigars, guest were served a plate of hummus with pita bread and salad for appetizers while the dinner offered was a choice between chicken plate, lamb plate or combination plate.
Guests were also given goodie bags that consisted of a poster, an ashtray, and a pack of 15 Minute Brakes (miniature versions of the Guillermo Leon-cigar).
The evening came to a close as Turkish coffee was served while guest mingled among themselves or took the opportunity to personally have a moment with Leon or to have their posters signed with a photo-op.
Guillermo Leon is the President of La Aurora S.A and the youngest son of Eduardo León Jimenes, who established Grupo León Jimenes in 1903. Grupo León Jimenes set up the first cigar factory in the Dominican Republic and is responsible for establishing the countries reputation as a producer of quality cigars.
