Football fan on his way to attend the home game of the San Francisco 49er's is stabbed near Candlestick Park by two assailants.
An unidentified man was stabbed and seriously wounded according to the Associated Press near Candlestick Park an over 69,000 seat outdoor stadium home to the San Francisco 49er's .
Sergeant Michael Andraychak stated that two men were arrested in the area of the attack on the 27-year-old man from Elk Grove, California. Mercury News reported that the victim was being accompanied by five other friends to the game when he got into an argument with his alleged attackers.
One of the men arrested is accused of pulling a knife and stabbing the Elk Grove man in the torso, he was rushed to an area hospital and according to police he is expected to live.
According to the Mercury News report all the individuals involved, including the alleged perpetrators are identified as fans of the San Francisco 49er's. One of the men is 30-years-old from San Francisco and another man is 22-years-old and from Daly City, California.
On October 6th 25-year-old Patrick Ortega was stabbed and killed inside Shakey's pizza after a Pop Warner football game 23 ABC News reported. Jose de Jesus Ruiz is charged with the murder and faces 25-years to life if he is convicted.
