article imageBristol Palin receives death threat, suspicious package

By Greta McClain     Oct 9, 2012 in Entertainment
Los Angeles - Officials with the Los Angeles Police Dept. and the FBI are currently investigating a suspicious package and possible death threat made against Bristol Palin.
Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sara Palin, is currently participating in the Dancing With the Stars All-Star show.
The package was addressed to Palin and was sent to the CBS lot in West Hollywood. Dancing With the Stars is an ABC show, but it is taped at a CBS studio. According to an Examiner report, the package contained a white powdery substance and a note that demanded "Bristol be removed from the show ... or else."
Officials are taking the threat seriously and investigating whether there is a link between this package and a similar package sent to Bristol Palin in 2010.
A TMZ report states that authorities field tested the white powder and found that is was not a harmful material.
The LA Times states Sara Palin is in California to support her daughter. They also quote her as saying: "These threats sure waste a lot of time, production and public resources: but do the haters really think this will stop Bristol and Mark and the show's producers from keepin' on keepin' on? Silly critics--after all these years of goofy antics like this we find these efforts are actually quite motivating! Bristol's not letting this get her down."
