President Obama released a television advertisement Tuesday that mocks Mitt Romney's comments at last week's debate about Sesame Street's "Big Bird."
A new television ad from President Obama mocks Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney's comments from last week's debate. Romney
said he'd cut federal funding for PBS, citing it as a source of deficit reduction. He, jokingly, mentioned Big Bird ― which has since went viral.
The Obama ad suggests that Romney believes cutting funding for PBS ― and Big Bird ― will make a significance decrease in the nation's debt. It also alludes to his ties with Wall Street.
The ad narrator says, "Mitt Romney knows it's not Wall Street you have to worry about ― it's Sesame Street."
A campaign official said the ad will air on national cable TV, targeting comedy channels.
