Sydenham
-
Earlier this year, a documentary about the life and music of Bob Marley was released. It is being screened October 25 in Sydenham.
The film
Marley was released April 20 this year, Adolf Hitler's 113th birthday. Later this month it will pick up another dubious honour when it is screened at the
Golden Lion public house, the site of one of London's most notorious unsolved murders. In March 1987, private detective Daniel Morgan was
axed to death in its car park.
Seriously though,
Sydenham Film Club will let you see the film for a fiver on the door at 7.30.
If, unlike Sydenham Community Radio, they bother to answer their e-mail, they can be contacted at
info@sydenhamfilmclub.org.
The club has been around a little over a year, and has promised an eclectic mix in the forthcoming months. Another film about Bob Marley
was previewed at the British Film Institute last December.
