: Commentators from the mainstream media to cable talkers on the left overwhelmingly concur that President Barack Obama got his “butt kicked” on Wednesday night. Time magazine’s Joe Klein said, “I’m with all the other talking heads: Mitt Romney won this debate. Barack Obama lost it. I mean, he got his butt kicked. It was, in fact, one of the most inept performances I’ve ever seen by a sitting President.” Mitt Romney’s performance in the first presidential debate with Obama was so dominating it left some on the left sputtering. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews’ dismay over Obama’s performance was so great that many were left wondering whether he had lost it.

: The president’s team officially downplayed the debate, faulted Romney’s facts, and pledged to make adjustments. But some aides and alumni admitted Mitt changed the narrative last night. Mitt Romney’s debate performance could well trigger a “restart button” for his campaign, prompting a second look at him from those who have been curious but not really committed. Obama’s campaign aides used the term “shell-shocked” over the Obama performance.
During the first debate between Romney and Obama, President Obama appeared unable to defend himself on the world stage. Obama seemed powerless and he appeared like a “deer caught in the head lights”. Romney was sharp and quick thinking. He made Obama appear foolish and very incompetent. Analysts have never seen a president dressed down like this in recent history. Even Jimmy Carter represented himself better against Ronald Reagan than what political analysts observed during the debate between Romney and Obama. Romney gave Obama a good old fashioned “butt kicking”.
Unless Obama changes his political strategy, he could lose the presidency to Romney. Obama’s problems originate from his failed foreign policies related to the 'Arab Spring' (Mideast Revolutions) and his focus on social domestic issues such as gay marriage and health care. Obama has no solution for America’s failing economy, which negatively impacts many Americans. However, although President Obama has been a complete failure as President, many analysts still expect Obama to win a second term because 47 percent of Americans will vote for Obama despite his disastrous record in office and the Republican Party is not completely behind Romney since they are thinking of 2016.
