reports that at one point in the encounter Hogan picks up a phone call from his son,Nick.
According to TMZ
, after Gawker
posted the minute-long clip to its website
[NSFW], Hogan sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding that the tape be taken own. He threatened that if Gawker
does not take down the tape he will sue. Hogan is saying that Gawker
does not have the right to post the footage.
reports that Hulk Hogan's lawyer, David R. Houston, said: "This tape was made secretly without Hulk's knowledge or permission. We are going to do everything in our power to figure out who did it. Anyone displaying the tape will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."
The tape was reportedly
sold to the highest bidder earlier the year and screen grabs were posted online in April. An edited version of the video surfaced online a few days ago. Gawker
, however, said it acquired the footage free from an unnamed source.
reports Hogan had said he did not know who the woman in the tape was. He claimed he slept with several women after his divorce from Linda Bollea.
Hulk Hogan, 59, divorced his wife of 24 years, Linda, in 2009. In December 2010, he married Jennifer McDaniel.
