After writing an interview that I did with Hollywood producer Harmon Kaslow about his movie Atlas Shrugged Part II, he invited me to attend the World Premiere of the movie at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
While at the premiere, waiters dressed in Atlas Shrugged T-shirts with the phrase “Who is John Galt?” printed on them walked around handing out lovely hor d'oeuvres and drinks to all of the guests. Patrons mingled with one another and took turns posing for pictures on the red carpet, sometimes with stars from the movie or other notable figures from various organizations. After the reception guests piled into the amphitheater eager to hear the speakers of the evening (including my former interviewee Harmon Kaslow) and the grand finale of seeing the movie. The premiere of Atlas Shrugged Part II was an amazing experience and although cannot be replicated by description alone, one can grasp the feel of the occasion better through photos of the event.
