Janet Jackson has reportedly converted to Islam in order to tie-the-knot with billionaire Qatari fiancé Wissam al-Mana, in a $20 million wedding extravaganza in Doha.
Celebrity singer Janet Jackson, 46, sister of the late Michael Jackson, is set to marry wealthy Qatari Wissam Al Mana, 36, in 2013. Al Mana, an executive of family firm Al Mana, has a net worth of around $200 million, according the

Al Arabiya reported the couple plan to spend $3 million to fly 500 wedding guests to Doha from around the world. Wissam will be handing out $10,000 Rolex watches as thank-you gifts for his guests' attendance.
Jackson's conversion to Islam was revealed by Turkish author Adnan Oktar in 2010, thus allowing the couple to enjoy a Muslim wedding. The wedding is reputedly going to be “one of the biggest, most memorable extravaganzas in recent history.”
According to
Emirates 247 the couple met in 2009 when Jackson performed in the Middle East. Just as Jackson has celebrity status, American educated Wissam is a celebrity in the Arab world.
