the workers stormed the Ministry of Defense compound in protest, and riot police were duly called to deal with them.
As protesters clashed with riot police tear gas was used. Dozens of protesters were arrested for resisting authority. Meanwhile a number of protesters moved to demonstrate the arrest of their colleagues outside police headquarters on Alexandras Avenue, where more angry clashes ensued.
