Mob fighting between African Americans and Latinos has become a regular occurrence at a high school in Victorville near Los Angeles, California.
Students say the fistfights usually start between two students and quickly escalate into a racial “mob fight,” according to a CBS report.
According to Rafael Muñoz, fighting spilled into the streets Wednesday after a group started fighting at Silverado High.
“One person started fighting, then the other would jump in. And continuously jump in and (it) ended up to be mob fighting. (I) got pepper sprayed by security,” he said.
Another fight continued in Jeremy Buenrostro’s lawn near the school.
“They busted my lip. Well, they broke my tooth. And then I have some knots on the back of my head,” he said.
Monica Rodriguez said she requested extra security and told police the fights are a regular problem at the school.
“The cops are nowhere to be seen. We’ve been calling them. They took forever. 911 placed people on hold. It was ridiculous,” said Rodriguez.
