NYC teen licks an entire subway railing for a buck

New York - A kid was dared to lick an entire subway rail, in New York City, for just a buck. The rail was located right at the entrance of the subway.

A video of a kid licking an entire handrail has surfaced. According to NBC, the kid in the video licked the handrail because he was dared to do it. According to NY Daily, a witness can be seen saying that the stunt was nasty. According to KTAR, licking a handrail is worse than licking a toilet seat. Charles P. Gerba, a microbiologist, said that if the anyone is dared to lick something in public, then a toilet would be a safer bet than a handrail. Gerba said that he has examined the levels of germs in public places such as toilet seats, bus handrails, bus seats and indoor handrails. He said that around 50 microorganisms live on a toilet seat, while hundreds of thousands of germs can be found on a handrail. It is unlikely the kid will become sick, because the bacteria in his mouth will likely protect him, but if the rail did have fecal matter on it, then he could potentially get Hepatitis A or another infection.
