Pot dealer tries to evade jail time by eating his stash

An alleged pot dealer tried to destroy evidence when he ate a marijuana plant, according to police in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Jeremiah Carmody, 33, is facing several charges related to drugs, after the events that followed on Monday, according to Huffington Post. According to Fox, police went to Carmody's home so they could serve him a warrant, and that is when he allegedly tried to devour his pot plant. According to Washington Post, the remains of the pot plan was seized as well four pounds of pot and $2,600 in cash and drug paraphernalia. Police ended up placing Carmody in Lackawanna County Prison where he was awaiting arraignment on Monday night. It was not clear whether or not he had a lawyer.
