A gym teacher in Queens, New York, is suing the city, claiming that he was beat up by a six-year-old, who is a first-grader.
According to NY Post, John Webster, 27, who is a gym teacher and weighs 220 pounds, said that 6-year-old Rodrigo Carpio beat him up and caused am injury to his knee. Webster also says that the student fractured his ankle, and that forced him to go to a shrink due to stress.
According to Huffington Post, Webster said that he now has to wear leg braces as a result of the incident. He went onto say that Carpio looks like an angel, but then he can turn into a nightmare. He also said that school officials were reportedly warned that Carpio has behavior problems., but they did not do anything to protect Webster.
According to Opposing Views, Carpio's father said that the lawsuit is ridiculous and that there is no way his son could have caused such damage.
Carpio's mother also said that the things people are saying about her child are terrible. She said that her son may have some problems but he does not deserve to be called names.
Webster described the attack that occurred back on April 26. He said that he was trying to hold down Carpio's wrists and that is when the boy started to bite him. Webster said that he brought the boy to the principal's office and that is when he kicked him in the ankle as well as the knee. Webster said that he felt a pop when the kick landed on his knee.
As of now the lawsuit is ongoing and there has not been a court date set.
