Billboard's annual top 21 artists under the age of 21 list was released on Thursday and there's no surprise at the top. For the second consecutive year Canadian pop rocker Justin Bieber has been named to the top spot.
The pop star from Stratford, Ontario - also easily the top money-earner on the list - was followed by boy band One Direction, 'X-Factor' judge Demi Lovato, the 2011 American Idol champ Scotty McCreery and the rapper from Pittsburgh, Mac Miller, who is fast becoming a bona-fide superstar.
Billboard: Justin Bieber is "adorable"
Billboard heaped much praise on young Master Bieber, calling him the "supernova of teen pop stars" and "adorable" and noting that the 18-year-old has "now legal good looks." The annual list from Billboard, published at this time every year, seeks to name the artists with the "potential to rule the pop culture zeitgeist."
Bieber is currently preparing for his upcoming tour in support of his latest album 'Believe'; his first date is in Phoenix on September 29; he plays dates in North America through January and then moves on to Europe in February.
