"Tell her I skate. I ain't got no worries. No Frank Ocean, I'm straight," Weezy raps in the song which dropped Sunday on
Rap Radar.
The line is a bit of a twist on the "No Homo" line which was popularized Harlem rapper Cam'Ron.
Frank Ocean isn't the only star Lil Wayne name drops in the song. The New Orleans rapper also mentions singer/actress Miley Cyrus. "And when we get together, she be on that Miley Cyrus. Totally eat each other up like Somalians," he raps according to
Zimbio.
The song (and line about Ocean) have received much criticism.
The UK blog Line of Best Fit announced Monday it's
"Idiot of the Day" Award goes to Lil Wayne for "this needless and rather off-topic slur against Frank Ocean."
HipHopWired's Kazeem Faymude wrote "no offense to Tunechi, but Future's version has a bit more feeling behind it."
Rap Radar calls the new song "obnoxious."
Not everyone totally hates it, though.
Pitchfork said the song was "extremely raunchy," but "more engaging" than just about anything off Weezy's new mixtape
Dedication 4].
Meanwhile, the
video for Frank Ocean's song "Pyramids," which features singer John Mayer, dropped Monday.
Ocean has not yet commented on Lil Wayne's line about his sexuality.
