According to Los Angeles Times
, the deputy, Kenneth Alexander, 46, pleaded no contest in August. He pleaded to one count of oral copulation with a minor. Alexander allegedly started having sex with the teen back in 2010, and occurred over a five-month period.
According to Patch
, Alexander also received five years of supervised probation as well as being required to attend a year of sex offender counseling. He was also ordered to stay away from the victim as well as her mother. While on probation Alexander must not be in possession of any weapons.
Authorities were made aware of the situation after an informant contacted the child abuse hotline on August 16,2011, and detectives started to follow up on leads. Eventually Alexander and the victim were interviewed, and Alexander turned himself in back in October of 2011.
Alexander may only have to spend 60 days in jail and spend the remaining 30 days under house arrest.
