Today the crowds were lining Roncesvalles for the Polish Festival in Toronto's High Park area. Over 300,000 people took part in a day of food, music and Polish history.
There were games and rides for the kids on Roncesvalles today during the Polish Festival. As the kids played street performers entertained their parents with fire eating, music and more. The Canadian military was also on hand with displays and music.

One thing was missing...cars. The entire street was a car free zone Saturday allowing the crowds to walk down the middle of the roads. It was a good thing as the area was packed.

Food trucks were selling their creations left and right while food booths with Polish specialties were packed. Today was the day to get in bigos, pierogies and keilbasa. Other types of food was available with much shorter lines.

Roncesvalles became a residential area in the early 1900's. Today it is one of the most sought out neighbourhoods of Toronto with a diverse population merging with a strong Polish presence.
