Nashville - Long Hunter State Park, located in Nashville, TN is a popular destination for locals. With hiking trails running alongside both J. Percy Priest Lake and Couchville Lake, it is an ideal place for photographers and outdoors enthusiasts alike.
Whether you are looking for a scenic hiking trail so you can burn some calories, or looking to find native wildlife in its natural surroundings, Long Hunter State Park is a wonderful destination. Located in the Nashville suburb of Antioch, Long Hunter provides numerous hiking trails to explore. It is also a popular location for fishing, where bluegill, crappie, catfish, large mouth and small mouth bass are prevalent. Novice canoe and kayak enthusiasts enjoy practicing their paddling skills and taking a leisurely trip around Couchville Lake.
If you are more of a shutterbug, you will be able to find plenty of photo opportunities. Deer, wild turkey, geese, ducks, raccoon and an assortment of small birds are never very far away.
